“INFINITY” Calligraphy by TOSHIO KATAGI
SEEKING FOR “INFINITE CAPABILITY”
Capability of Material: Aluminum and Its Rolled Products
The founder,Toshio Katagi, noticed the infinite capability of duralumin used in fighter air craft during the Second World War and founded Katagi Aluminum Products Ltd. In 1951. The company produced only household utensils at first, and then by introducing a hot rolling, slitting, to shearing in 1964, began
To produce coil, sheet and circle, thus establishing itself as an aluminum rollig maker. It has two production footholds, the Head Office and Factory in Sennan, Osaka and Daisen Factory in Daisen, Tottori, which succeeded in producing rolled stock by
A continuous horizontal casting and cold rolling line on commercial basis and now producing a thinsheet below 0.2mm, which can be produced only in big enterprises. The company, even though not a big enterprise, can manage short
Time of delivery and small lot to fully respond various requests
Of clients and its products range widely from electronic device, transformer winding, wire covering, heat radiating fin used in automobile radiator grill and air conditioner ,top plate of cooking stove and inner lid of rice cooker.
From the beginning, the company has exported aluminum rolling plants and licensed the technology of aluminum rolling to Myanmar, Thailand, South Korea, Indnesia, and China, to contribute the development of aluminum rolling industry in Asia
Capability of Technology: Challenge to the Challenge to Technology
The challenge to technology developed in the plant exports can be seen in out recent new products and technologies. For example, OK Sheet(an entry sheet to electronic substrate) has received the Development Award of the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Manufacturing Japan
Grand Prix(2013), and Automatic Correction Device of End Surface of Alluminum Coil also received the
Excellence Award, the Small and Medium-sized Enteprises Excellent Technologies and Products Exellence Award(2017). Seeking the infinite capability of material and technology in concert with the seeds and needs of the era is our company’s founding spirit and management philosophy towards the 21th century. Let’s restate it by borrowing an aphorism ‘We don’t seek the things, but seek to seek the
things.’ by a French philosopher, Blaise Pascal.
We don’t Challenge to technology, but challenge to the challenge to technology.
